The successful candidate will be diligent with a proven track record in Android (Mobile, Web) Software Development. The self-driven and self-motivated candidate will be responsible for collaborating with our other Engineering teams from Japan and Global, Product/Design teams, to not only develop, but also help define and improve the products (Software, Web), addressing the specific needs of our increasing Japanese market.

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
• Willing to contribute to the development of our Android apps with the goal of making our members more successful.
• Capable of implementing native user interfaces using the latest Android programming techniques (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose).
• Use knowledge of Android development to help guide design and engineering decisions.
• Willing to work with product managers, designers, and full-stack engineers to help shape the vision of our mobile and desktop products.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Understanding the value of code review and willingness to practise with the team.
• Willing to discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Capable of tuning and improving application performance.
• 5+ years of proven work experience in Android app development.
• Deep understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Understanding of Android platform communication primitives and their security properties
(i.e. services, content providers, broadcast receivers, binders)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English
GOOD TO HAVE:
• Full Stack(Web) development experience
• Fluent in Japanese
