• Perform daily, weekly and monthly server health checks and performance monitoring
• Perform troubleshooting and thorough root cause analysis
• Provide 3^rd & 4^th level problem diagnosis and resolution including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation and customer/vendor dialogue
• Perform production service requests including moves/adds/changes, data restores and service consultations
• Monitor server resources and trending results for capacity planning purposes
• Support automated deployment systems
• Provide escalation support for end-user issues with Outlook and mobile messaging applications
• Provide in-depth product knowledge, vendor interface and extensive system engineering capabilities to address and resolve issues
• Enforce corporate data protection policies, through IT Risk certifications and standardized access
• Provide Business Continuity support for the Groupware service by activation and confirmed functionality, monitoring, and problem diagnosis
• Provide 24x7 on-call support

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering, managing, and supporting infrastructure in a large messaging and environment (75K+ user base) is mandatory for this role
• Experience in supporting the email infrastructure within an investment banking or financial services organization required
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2007 and 2010
• Expert knowledge of Blackberry Enterprise Server 5
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 and Lync 2010 products
• Scripting knowledge of PowerShell
• Strong knowledge of server hardware including Dell and HP is a must
• Solid understanding of SAN, DAS and JBOD disk concepts
• General knowledge of Mainframe, Network, Midrange and LAN/Desktop technologies and their interaction in a complex production environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service skills, strong interpersonal skills and team skills required
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• MCSE, CLP, and related certifications is a plus
• Experience with Good Mobile technology across Android and iOS platforms and Symantec Enterprise Vault is preferable
• Knowledge in SQL 2005 and 2008 is a plus
