Desktop Support Analyst

We are looking for desktop support working in an investment banking environment in Singapore

Job Responsibilities

  • 2nd tier desktop support on day to day migration activities
  • Quality checking of key activities / tasks in preparation for a migration phase - verifying that the activity / task has been completed successfully and to quality, owning to resolution where this has not been achieved
  • Ensure that project tracking tools are updated for each migration with the status of each activity / task necessary for a deployment migration phase - i.e. maintaining the “factory status” for a migration phase
  • Own & tracking the set of recurring problems from recent migration phases, ensuring technical teams own workaround provision, investigation, resolution and ultimately work the fix into their processes / tools
  • Ensure process & procedures documentation is available for all tasks critical to a migration phase

Job Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (intermediate +, lookups and pivots a must)
  • Setting-up and using ODBC data connectivity to remote data sources (e.g. for use in MS Excel)
  • Active Directory management and portal tools familiarity (e.g. QUEST, MS ADUC)
  • Good Knowledge of desktop hardware (BIOS, memory, processors, disk-space, etc)
  • MSDOS command line familiarity
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook & MS Visio
  • Familiarity with infrastructure tools for large organizations (eg Active Directory, SCCM)
  • Problem management – experience in an end user desktop technology support capacity working and resolving problems affecting multiple end users
  • High standards of written and verbal communication
  • Client focus and a positive service delivery attitude
  • Demonstrates and fosters teamwork - ability to work as part of a team and to make positive contributions
  • Recent experience in one or more desktop technology migration projects in a large organization
  • MS Windows 7
